Cape Cod? No, Just Rye
If you weren't Rochelle, Jessica, Sydney, Marlon, or me this morning, you missed a good one.
The forecast wasn't doing us any favors. Drizzle, cold, the kind of morning where it's tempting to stay in bed. But we showed up anyway, and Mother Nature rewarded us. What started as gray and wet opened up to blue sky as we hit the coast.
Today's route was the Rye Shoreline, about 25 miles along the rocky stretch of coast from Milton Point to Port Chester. Water on our left, water on our right, winding through some of the most beautiful scenery in Westchester. Incredible views, pricey real estate straight out of "Friends and Neighbors," and the kind of ride that makes you forget you're training. It was a mini Cape Cod adventure without the Bourne Bridge traffic.
This is what showing up looks like. The riders who braved the drizzle got the blue sky.
